1. Scope
These terms govern submitting and selling a vehicle through Inkooptrader Nederland. Private individuals and businesses may submit vehicles. Only approved professional dealers may place bids.
Inkooptrader Nederland connects sellers and dealers and records the bidding and acceptance process. The purchase agreement is between the seller and the buyer. Inkooptrader Nederland is not the buyer, seller, vehicle owner or payment service in that transaction.
Dealer access is also governed by the separate dealer agreement. Any dealer charges are separate from the free service provided to sellers.
2. Always free and without obligation to sell
Submitting your vehicle, having it assessed and selling it through Inkooptrader Nederland are free for you as the seller. We do not charge submission fees, sales commission, administration fees or cancellation fees. We do not charge you a standard collection fee either.
Submitting a vehicle does not oblige you to sell. You may accept or reject an offer. Rejecting it, allowing it to expire or ending your submission before acceptance is free. Receiving an offer, reminder or submission confirmation does not itself mean that you have sold the vehicle.
To stop before acceptance, contact us with your reference number and do not accept the offer. An optional service separately agreed with a third party is outside our free platform service; it must not be charged without your prior express agreement.
3. Your vehicle information
Provide the information you know truthfully, including the vehicle’s mileage, damage, defects, maintenance, ownership and third-party rights. You must be authorised to sell the vehicle. Report material changes before accepting an offer.
A registration number is optional. You do not have to complete fields that do not apply to your vehicle. Check automatically retrieved vehicle and address information and correct it where necessary.
Only upload photographs and text you are entitled to use. Avoid including people, identity documents, bank details or other personal information that is unnecessary for assessing the vehicle.
4. Auction and offer
Eligible participating dealers may bid on your vehicle. The auction duration and response deadline are stated with the auction or personal offer. A statement such as “within 24 hours” is a target, not a guarantee of an offer, a sale or a particular price.
The highest offer received is not necessarily the market value and is not an independent valuation. Check the displayed amount, vehicle and terms before accepting. Contact us first if anything is unclear.
An auction may be investigated, interrupted or offered again in the event of a fault, suspected fraud or an obvious input error. We inform those affected where necessary. This does not create a right to a guaranteed sale; statutory rights remain unaffected.
5. When the purchase agreement is formed
A purchase agreement is formed when you expressly accept the valid offer through your personal link. The confirmation button states that you accept the offer. The buyer and seller then receive a purchase confirmation and the necessary contact details.
After acceptance, the purchase agreement is binding. You and the buyer must fulfil the agreed obligations, subject to statutory rights to terminate, invalidate or amend the agreement. The free submission does not override those obligations.
An expired or rejected offer cannot later be accepted through the same link. A new proposal requires a new confirmation. Keep your personal link secure and do not share it with unauthorised people.
6. Payment and handover
The seller must contact the buyer within 48 hours of acceptance. Together they arrange payment, inspection and the place and time of handover. There is no obligation to deliver the vehicle to a central Inkooptrader Nederland collection location.
Only hand over the vehicle, keys and documents after checking that the agreed payment has been received. The buyer and seller arrange the required registration transfer or proof of deregistration and retain the evidence.
Any differences from the submitted vehicle information are discussed directly between buyer and seller. A change to the price or other terms requires their mutual agreement. The platform does not collect or hold the purchase price.
7. Responsibilities and statutory rights
The buyer and seller are responsible for their own vehicle information, statements, payment and performance of the purchase agreement. Inkooptrader Nederland remains responsible for its own service under applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected. For a vehicle or payment dispute, first contact the other party to the purchase agreement; contact us about problems with the platform. We may help with communication but do not decide purchase disputes.
8. Privacy, complaints and changes
Our privacy policy explains which data we process and why. Accepting these terms is not consent to advertising and does not waive your privacy rights.
You may submit complaints by email or telephone. Include your reference, the facts and the outcome you seek. We aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days and will let you know if more time is needed.
Dutch law applies to the platform service to the extent permitted by mandatory rules. You may refer a dispute to the competent court. A new version of these terms does not retroactively change an existing purchase agreement or your recorded acceptance.
